Battle Overview
Chosen Seren (선택받은 세렌) is the guardian of the sword and the final boss of Cernium, the level 260+ region. Gerand Darmoor whispers an incantation to her, and the sun god Mitra's power begins channelling through her against the party. The fight runs two phases and is built around a single idea: a Sun Gauge that fills whenever you are hit, and a day/night clock in Phase 2 whose Midnight segment shrinks every time that gauge overflows. Run out of Midnight and the fight is lost outright, no matter how many lives the party has left.
Throughout this guide, two damage figures written as "70% / 90%" mean Normal / Hard. All damage is a percentage of your max HP.

- Required Authentic Force: 150 in Phase 1, 200 in Phase 2
Phase 1 holds 64.68 trillion / 126 trillion HP. Body contact with Seren deals 5% damage.
Wrath of the Sun (태양의 분노)
Being hit by Seren's patterns fills the Sun Gauge. When it fills completely you are locked out of acting and out of all healing for 5 seconds. Neither Will nor Dispel nor any other skill can block or clear the status.
Meteor (운석)
On hit: 15% damage plus the Miss status.
Ground Explosion (바닥 폭발)
On hit: 40% damage plus 5 seconds of Miss.
Dash (돌진)
On hit: 30% damage plus super knockback.
Thrust (찌르기)
On hit: 15% damage.
Sword Aura (검기)
On hit: 20% damage plus a 1 second stun.
Eight-Way Laser (8방향 레이저)
Seren fires lasers outward in eight directions. On hit: 50% damage plus 5 seconds of Miss.
Extreme
Extreme Seren was added long after this pattern breakdown was written and reuses the same two phases, the same four times of day, and the same White Out pillar check. What changes is the pressure: substantially higher HP, a faster-filling Sun Gauge that also creeps upward on its own, and a larger Death Count allowance. The pattern-by-pattern behaviour documented above still applies.
